FOURTH GRADE SOPRANO RECORDER ORDER FORM

Dear Parents,
A beginning soprano recorder class is a part of our Grand Ledge Public Schools fourth grade music curriculum. Learning to play recorder enhances your child’s understanding of music, reading music skills and may lead to other musical experiences.
Each child must have a Yamaha soprano recorder and a two-pocket folder w/ three middle prongs or a 3-ringed notebook, for printed music. I can order your child’s recorder at a discount, if all the new recorders are ordered at the same time. The cost to you will be $4.70 for the recorder and 50 cents for the folder. Each child must have a neck strap for his or her recorder. Your child may make one from a shoelace or yarn, or use his or her first “Recorder Karate” belt as the neck strap. Most of the students choose the later option.
If finances are a problem, we do have some recorders we can loan out for the duration of the school year. The instrument would have to be replaced by the family, if it was lost or ruined. The cost would be $5.25 for a lost or ruined Willow Ridge recorder.
Please return the form below to indicate your wish to buy, borrow, or bring in your own recorder and folder. Every student must return this form. Checks can be made payable to Grand Ledge Public Schools. Cash is also accepted as payment. All forms and money should be turned in to Mrs. McMartin-Finkel by Monday, September 14, 2015.
Look at the order form closely. Please check the option(s) that reflect your decisions regarding this order. The recorders come in four different color choices. The quality of the instrument will be the same whether you choose an ivory (traditional) or the translucent blue, pink or green.
